Winterdreams about summer

The February challenge for Indigo was ”Winter”. This is the piece I’ve made. I call it “Winterdreams about summer”.

I made the background by fusing Angelinafilm and fibers to some sinamay. I used threads of cotton, silk, flax, rayon and silver. Finally I added some beads.

Size: 18cm x 9cm

Absolutely wonderful work on "winter". It reminds me of all the little spring woodland flowers getting ready and just waiting to poke their heads up out of the snow on a sunny day.

I really love this Annica.
The fact that it is all neutral means that their is nothing to distract one's eye so the stitching is allowed to dominate.

Annica, this is really magicial. It reminds me of the white witch's winter from "Narnia" - without any dark agenda of course.
