Small stuff...

I made some necklaces and broches to sell at the Artnight event, a couple of weeks ago. I've made them the same way as I've made ATCs and PCs lately. It's handpainted scrim that is needlefelted on to wool and then handstitched.

A few words about Artnight. I didn't have very high hopes for the presentation at City Hall and it was just as bad as I expected. All the textiles were down by the floor.

At the other place where I showed my work there wasn't enought light. I brought extra spotlights but still... Textiles really need good lightning. I left my things there until the next day. When I went to pick them up everyone commented on how different they looked in daylight.

I didn't sell any embroiderys but I sold two paintings. I was very excited about that! And some cards and other stuff. It was a very nice night though, and there was a lot of people that showed interest in my work, mostly women of course.

I'm finally done with the moving business and I hope to be back on track with my art and blogging in a few days. I'm really looking forward to catching up with what everyone else has been doing. Big thank you hugs to everyone who's been stopping by here during the last month. You have no idea how much your support means to me! Thank you!

Åh, annica så fina dessa är! Och så mycket Du på något sätt! Konstigt så fort man ser och känner igen någons stil och sätt att uttrycka sig på!

I just love the way your stitching shows on the felt in these cards. I have mine here right by my puter and I glance down at it every once in awhile to admire. *S*

I'm glad your life is settling down now. And I admire anyone who puts their work out in public, no matter what the venue.

Annica, I was wondering how far in the moving you were. So I'm glad to read your post.
Hope you will settle very soon, and that your life will be up to your expectancies.
Hugs

Hi Annica, your small stuff is gorgeous and I'm happy for you that you sold two paintings on the artnight! That compensates teh ill-illuminated textiles!

I love these tiny artful necklaces and broches!

PS I have moved in June, well inside Paris but nevertheless I know how draining it is! But afterwards, in general things get better and better:)
