The Snake and The Beast

The Snake and The Beast. That would be a great name for a pub in a Harry Potter book don't you think. :-)

Well, I have finished this piece, or at least I thought so. Now when I look at the picture I feel like I need to add something more to it. More flowers perhaps and maybe a bug or two...

Jude, if you recognize any of the fabric. Yes, it's from the stuff you send me. Thank you!

I agree with you, it misses something. It is a bit flat, bugs or butterflies would add a third dimension ?
Or maybe a border in a complementary color?
But don't get me wrong, I like it, despite of the snake...

Yes, a dark blue border maybe. But it's already very nice as it is.

I like it too, but i think maybe the flowers need some green leaves and a vine curling around to complement the sinuous snake!

Hey Annica, thats looking really great. Love the beast! I have a thing for beasts. I once did a felted bag all covered up in different looking "beasts". I called it - Nothing sweet about me!

Have a great day!

It's lovely just the way it is. You could consider adding some beaded danglies along the bottom maybe

It is lovely Annica, me being a quilter (originally hundreds of years ago!!!!) I wondered if you have thought about layering it with a thin cotton wadding and a backing and quilting it ~ that would add another dimension and then I would add prairie points down one side in the colours you've used. Have a fabulous day ~ Judy x

I think that if you worked on the value of the colors. I think the snake could be worked several more colors and this would give it more dimension.

I really like the design.
