Blue Tag and Oyster Stitch

I feel like I'm repeating myself, but tags are addictive.

I made the background with turquoise and green wool that I needlefelted. Then I did some stitching by hand. I had a go at the oyster stitch (the three green ones) but I'm not sure I got it right. If anyone that reads this is an oyster stitch connoisseur can you please let me know if it looks OK or not.

I know that everyone did this stitch on TAST a few weeks ago, and I've looked at all your wonderful blogs and at Sharons Stitch Dictionary and at Quieter Moments (Great blog, Elizabeth!) but I'm still not sure I've got it right. I'd like to learn how to do it though because I think it looks really nice.

Pink Tag and Spider's Wheels

I'm back on the tag track! First I needlefelted pink and white wool then I added some handstitching, running stitch and buttonhole stitch. The TAST stitch this week is Spider's Wheels, whipped and woven. I've tried one of each. The top wheel is whipped and the bottom one is woven.

At Project Spectrum we're working on pink, yellow and green for another month. So this should fit right in. And don't forget to stop by at the Art Tag group on Flickr. There's a lot of great tags to see.

Taging along...

Two blue Art Tags.

I needlefelted blue wool and small pieces of purple scrim. Added a silver mesh and cross stitches in many different colours. I made buttonhole stitches around the edge and plaited the fringe.

This tag is made on a piece of needlefelted blue wool too. Small scrim scraps and running stitches in different colours. A flower and som french knots in the middle. The fringe is made out of three different kinds of threads.

Happy Easter!

Another tag... I just can't help myself...

Green wool this time, and some cotton threads.

More Art Tags!

I've made two more tags!

This is the first one I made today. The background is grey needlefelted wool with some orange and yellow scrim. Then I added french knots and made the black and white braid.

The next one I also made out of grey needlefelted wool and some bits of scrim. I had a tiny piece of gold mesh that I stitched to the background. After that I added a few beads and then I made the braid and stitched it to the wool.

My first Art Tag

Ann Christine Dennison started a Flickrgroup for Art tags a few days ago. I have never made an art tag before but I was very inspired to give it a try, so here is my first attempt.

I still haven't figured out what to do with the back. When I do I'll show you.
